Our
vision is to establish an institute that will educate, stimulate, and
motivate Georgians to protect and sustain a healthy, rich, and diverse
environment for present and future generations.
The magnificent tree pictured here, located on the Fairburn Nature Preserve, has become a symbol of our vision for Georgia.
Fairburn Nature Preserve
The Fairburn Nature Preserve is the vision of the City of Fairburn to create a multipurpose eco-center that includes a Mitigation Bank, Nature Center, and Environmental Center with conference facilities on 310 acres of protected and preserved land.
This vision, once realized, will offer families, students, and professional nationwide, the unique opportunity to learn about nature in this "lab-without-walls." while helping to preserve and enhance the environment and wildlife habitat of this protected area.
Working in partnership with the City of Fairburn and educators in Georgia, Environmental Institute of Georgia serves as the trustee of the Fairburn Nature Preserve & EIOG's Center for Environmental Education.
